The Rulings Panel is an independent body that helps enforce the Electricity Industry Participation Code. It determines breaches, hears appeals against certain decisions and resolves disputes under the Code.

What we do

The Rulings Panel hears and determines complaints about breaches of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010.

If the Panel upholds a complaint, it may order remedial action. For example, it can make compliance orders, order pecuniary penalties or compensation, issue warnings or reprimands.

The Rulings Panel also hears appeals on decisions made under the Code and resolves disputes between industry participants under the Code.
